SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 33

Congratulating the Bridgeport High School basketball team for winning the state Class AA championship.

Whereas, The Bridgeport High School basketball team participated in and won their first Class AA state championship game since 1941; and
Whereas, The Bridgeport High School basketball team, under the direction of head coach Bill Kerns and his assistant, Bill Bennett, ended the 1993 season with a record of twenty-one wins and four losses; and
Whereas, The outstanding athletic ability of the team's players has brought a sense of pride and accomplishment to the students and faculty of Bridgeport High School, the city of Bridgeport and the county of Harrison; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Bridgeport High School basketball team for winning the Class AA state basketball championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to Bridgeport High School's head basketball coach, Bill Kerns, and Lindy Bennett, Bridgeport High School principal.
